The problems seem to solve themselves by reinstalling the plugin for most users. If this doesn't work you may want to erase your temporary files partition (add z: as a source in file manager, you may have to manually type that in, it probably won't be available in the brose source dialog). It works perfectly for most users, only some have problems that I cannot find on my xbox. If you encounter any problems, please submit any information you have so I can reproduce this behaviour.
Stopping media is also a common problem. I cannot do anything agains this, it seems to be a caching bug in XBMC.
The new Joox.net beta 2.0 has its own download capatibility, see the plugin's description in the download area. For other plugins, do the following:
Highlight the episode you want to download, press the white button on the pad ("Title" button on the remote control), select "Switch Media", then Select "file manager". On the left side, you should see the current plugin folder, on the right side of the window you can choose the destination you want to copy the media file to. Now switch back to the left side, highlight the media file to be downloaded, open the context menu via white button/title button and select "Copy".
I implemented that feature for the new Joox plugin beta. If it turns out to work well, I will add it to other plugins based on the same engine.
You really need the latest XBMC T3CH release and for now to see the dialog you'll also need to change your skin to Project Mayhem III because the new plugin settings dialog is not yet supported in other skins. Highlight the Joox plugin source in the video browser, press white button to open the context menu and select "plugin settings". If it's not there, try copying the plugin again.
PowerFLV.com changed the layout so that the regular expressions needed to crawl the site for media links don't work any mre. As I don't use that plugin very often, I don't have a high priority to fix this. If you want to do it yourself, you'll find some useful resources here: http://xboxmediacenter.com/forum/showthread.php?p=157854#post155992
Try the new Joox plugin 2.0 beta available in the download section
As soon as I have time. You can do it yourself if you know a little python. Get the TV-Links script from xbmcscripts.com and find the function to download stuff. Add that to the plugin somehow.
You don't have the latest XBMC T3CH SVN release. Google for that. If you have that, you probably didn't copy all the files. If it still doesn't work, try another FTP program. If after that, it doesn't show that, maybe you didn't transfer the plugins to the correct location.
The Apple Movie Trailers plugin needs a really recent version of XBMC to load. Also, it needs a Database created by the Apple Movie Trailers SCRIPT. A version of the script is probably included in your T3CH release. Start the script (not the plugin) from the XBMC scripts screen. It now builds up its Database and downloads trailer information from the internet. After this process (takes about an hour) you can access the trailers from the plugin in the movies screen.
You added the source in the wrong way. You need to add it as a video or music plugin source. Go to add source, now select VIDEO PLUGIN or AUDIO plugin. DO NOT browse your harddrive. If you do this right, this should not happen.
Probably there are some. But I'm quite active in the xboxmediacenter forum and I'll try to add new plugins posted there as soon as possible.
You are probably confusing plugins with scripts. Please read the "About
plugins" again. Then install the scripts. Copy them to the
Q:\plugins\video or Q:\plugins\music directory into a subfolder called
anything you like. Put all the files of the plugin into that folder, so
that the contained default.py can be found in
Q:\plugins\{video|music|}\[plugin_name]\default.py. Now go to the music
or video screen of xbmc. Select "Add source...". Now don't select an
ordinary drive like C or E. Instead, select "Video Plugins" or "Music
Plugins". If you don't see it there, you have to update XBMC to the
latest T3CH. Now select the desired plugin and press OK!
On most media items you can open the context menu and choose to play
the item with a different player core. Choose "Play using..." and
select the player core that is not the default.
Yes. TV-Links.co.uk got
shut down .
This seems to have something to do with the xml parser of python. I will rewrite the plugin as soon as possible so it tolerates malformed XML.
You're probably a customer of Arcor? Arcor recently
blocked YouPorn . You can watch it using a proxy of the "Piratenpartei" though. The script doesn't support this yet. A workaround is setting the IP and gateway of the xbox manually (Static IP) and setting the DNS server to
208.67.222.222.
Myspace doesn't seem to give us valid XML for some bands any more, so I probably have to rewrite that plugin. It should work for some bands though. As a band name, please enter what you normally would type after the http://myspace.com/[bandname]. Some bands don't have their real name as the myspace user name.
